Chalco Shandong Co., Ltd.is the 1st Alumina refinary base in China and put into production on July 1st, 1954. It was named as ‘The Cradle of China aluminium industry’. With a development of more than 60 years, it has become a huge integrated aluminium enterprise including the production of alumina, alumina chemicals, smelting aluminium, and combined with mining, fabricating, R&D, machine manufacturing, construction, power & electricity and globally tradings. The capacity of alumina chemicals has reached up to 900,000 tons and the number is still upgrading.

CHALCO ZHONGZHOU ALUMINUM CO., LTD.(formerly Chalco Zhongzhou Branch) is one of the alumina production plants under the subsidiary Chalco . Its predecessor is zhongzhou aluminum factory, which started construction in 1987 and was completed in 1993. At the end of 2001, according to the requirement of the overseas listing of chalco, it was restructured and divided into zhongzhou branch and zhongzhou aluminum factory. According to the development needs, in 2009, 2010, the zhongzhou branch with zhongzhou aluminum factory, chalco mining Co., Ltd. implemented the merger and reorganization, the establishment of a new zhongzhou branch, in 2017, the name of chalco zhongzhou aluminum Co., Ltd.
The company currently has 6,525 employees, an annual capacity of 2.81 million tons of alumina, and 108 million tons of domestic mineral reserves. The main products are metallurgical alumina and fine alumina, among which, fine alumina has formed three series of high white, dry white and fine white, the annual production scale 280,000 tons, the products are widely used in metallurgy, building materials, flame retardant, ceramics, glass, toothpaste, medicine and other industries.
